Mouserhood

I just spent the last 4 days crammed in a library with hundreds of screaming kids swarming me to buy presents for their families for Christmas. (I ran a holiday boutique at the kids' school.) It's alot of noise. I have trouble hearing myself over the noise. My normal setting is mouse hiding inside tree. With hot chocolate and a fire.

But we made a bunch of money for the school. And kids love Flarp. My biggest seller. Give a kid a can of goo that makes a farting noise, and they're happy. I loved that.

Lilly spent some time at my feet in the library, sitting inside a box with a pile of books. While kids flung cash in my face and bought farting machines over her head.

The bad part about doing any job as a mom is that there's always this nagging feeling that time is slipping away and you're missing just sitting and staring at the babies as they grow up. Like I should have pulled up a box and sat in it with Lilly. Believe me, it is a wonderful place to be.

So I'm off to Christmas vacation. Gonna just play and be a mouse. It's good to know who you are.
