The kids have friends over so there's peace in the house as toys get played with that are usually ignored. And there's friendly chatter instead of baiting and arguing, our usual background noise.
I was folding laundry and realizing that my life is slipping away. But then I realized that most of life is folding laundry, and that made the folding easier. I felt happy to be doing it.
