What's Next
I was out on the horse today in the freezing cold 9 a.m. Los Angeles Arctic weather, and thinking about the yard sale the kids and I wandered into yesterday. Somehow I have 3 kids that are big enough to wander and pick things out they know they will like. Lilly picked out old pink cowboy boots. Nathan picked out a USC Trojans sling backback thingy. Emma picked out nothing. I got a picture frame. They had a crib for sale. On the horse, as we angled up a new hill I hadn't taken him on and I was nervous, I thought about how I spent years just raising those babies. I loved having a crib in the house. Every day, I barely ever got anywhere. So now it's 12 years later, and I'm out in the early morning on this sweet horse, and my whole life is ahead of me. Maybe right up this hill.
