Clutter Busters

So I miss the garage.

I just spent a week throwing everything out that I could from the garage.

It helps if you have a strapping 15 year old son who is a tiny bit taller than you (and you are already tall), who can haul out stuff and lift heavy things and who likes to do this. He's also a sentimental fool, which makes him even more endearing. We could throw everything away, but he is a human who also is attached to sweet things from childhood. So we saved some things, we tossed things, we donated things, we cleaned things. We fought pigeons. We coughed dirt. Our nails are atrocious.

We'll see about selling off a few things, and mostly we are just happy to have the clear space, with a clear space you can see forever. Or at least across the garage.

There's always more to do, like finding an actual spot for the Christmas decorations, but for now the pressure to finish the major amount of work is done, and Nathan and I now have huge muscles and nothing to do with them.

It is how Olympic athletes feels a month after winning the gold. But I'm so READY. What do I do with all this power?

First we ate pizza. And now we will fine tune, look for more trouble areas, and the best part - get used to the feeling of success.
